About

Welsh musician Phoebe Niamh is an experimental multi-instrumentalist based in Sheffield. Captivated by the sound worlds of the harp, Phoebe trained in contemporary, folk and classical styles. She delves into free improvisation on the harp that is influenced by her upbringing surrounded by nature in North Wales.
Her self-produced debut solo EP Serendipity is a collection of harp improvisations with electronics. Phoebe’s track Periwinkle from Serendipity was streamed on BBC Radio 3 Unwind ‘The Sleeping Forecast’ and The Lot Radio. Creating dreamy soundscapes influenced by the sounds of shoegaze, ambient music and minimalism, Phoebe uses her harp and FX pedals to enchant listeners and live audiences. Collaboration and connection has led Phoebe to form experimental rock band River Ruby and experimental sound project meraki with Amy Spearman. She is a member of Emergence Collective and Timothy Knowles et al.
